Pastor Marcus K. Duke

We are grateful that the Lord has given us Marcus Duke to serve as our wonderful leader.  Both he and and his wife, Shannon, have a heart for ministry and the people of God.

Pastor Marcus K. Duke hails from Lynnville, TN where he was a PK (preacher’s kid).  He was surrounded by the Word from birth and became a student of Christ at a young age.

Pastor Duke was called into the ministry in October 2008 and preached his first sermon two months later on December 7, 2008 under the pastorship of Reverend James Gordon of Happy Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynnville, TN.  In November 2009, Reverend Gordon ordained Pastor Duke to the calling that God has for him so he will be able to fully exercise the gift GOD gave him.

Pastor Duke is a 2002 graduate of Richland High School and is an avid studier of the Bible. When Pastor Duke is not preaching the Word of God, you can find him singing God’s praises.

Pastor Duke started singing gospel with his father and brother Timothy in 1990 as The Duke Family Gospel Singers. The Duke Family sang for seven and a half years, and they were able to do a recording in 1996. For 11 years, Pastor Duke sang with the New Gospel Spirituals of Pulaski, TN . In 2004, Pastor Marcus did a solo album titled Don’t Be Discouraged.

Pastor Duke was blessed to be the Greater Richland Creek Association Youth Choir director for two years, and Happy Hill Missionary Baptist Church Choir Director for four years. He now sings with Pastor Kenneth Duke and the Faithful Ambassadors

The vision that Pastor Duke has for the church is one of renewal and transformation. Pastor Duke wants to help people remember and understand their value in God’s kingdom, whether they are new followers in Christ or seasoned believers. His message is wrapped in love, hope and the Word (Bible) for the edification of God’s people.
